Ok, I admit it, I'm a gadget freak:

... and I've been one for a long time. The difference between the early years and today is that now I can afford to buy pretty much any gadget, always the latest and greatest, I happen to fancy. Which is nice. :) Below are a couple of lists of the early and current gadgets I have. The lists aren't all-encompassing, I can assure you, but just to give you the idea... :) The lists are also not in any particular order of preference etc...

Featured gadget: Canon 300D [New!]

I bought myself a Canon 300D digital SLR camera recently and have been a happy camper since then. Good features, good price, good continuity (for the lenses anyway), also highly acclaimed in the media. My photography hobby has now received a major technical upgrade. :)

Current gadgets, e.g:
  • SonyEricsson P900 - the best mobile phone/pda/communicator ever! My Palm devices of many happy years are now officially a thing of the past...
  • Archos Gmini 220 - the perfect companion for my camera (see featured gadget above) on my travels; play music during flights, store images from camera when shooting pics...
  • Apple iPod - Yes, I too have one. Saw it, took in my hand, fell in love with it, bought it, all within 5 minutes. Somewhat overlapping in functionality with the Archos, but the Archos primarily my portable image storage, while iPod is the music machine.
  • Lego Robotics Invention System - it's cool! :)
  • a radio controlled Audi TT (Kyosho Mini-Z Racer: Vendor home page, in-depth article) - I've always wanted a radio controlled car... :)
  • Olympus Camedia C40-zoom - my first digital camera, now as backup camera
  • Sony DCR-PC5 digital video camera - bought it because it was finally a small enough video camera... Robust little beast as well, I've dropped it on the floor and on hard rock several times and it still keeps going without a hitch.
  • Sony Playstation 2 - need I say more?
  • Microsoft Xbox - has been catching up with the PS2 in the games title front, and especially the Live-enabled games are great.
  • Garmin eTrex GPS navigator - to avoid getting lost... :)
  • Suunto Advizor "wrist-top outdoors computer" - altimeter, barometer, compass, heart-rate monitor and oh yes, with comprehensive watch and timing features as well... :)
  • 80 Gb Maxtor hard-drive (external Firewire one) - using it with the company laptop for digital video and image editing/storage...
  • Home theater system with tuner/amplifier + DVD player + video projector - all Sony hardware

Early/former gadgets, e.g:
  • SonyEricsson P800 - the PREVIOUS best mobile phone/pda/communicator ever! :)
  • (Sony) Ericsson T68 GSM mobile phone - the best mobile phone I had had before P800 changed everything
  • Sinclair ZX48 Spectrum - my first ever computer! Ah, the rubber keyboard... :)
  • Commodore 128 - great for playing Commodore 64 games... :)
  • Commodore Amiga 500 - Amiga was the best!
  • Commodore Amiga 1200 - Amiga really was the best!
  • An Olivetti PC laptop - duh, good riddance...
  • Sony Playstation - I stopped playing PC games soon after getting this. Couldn't be bothered with the hassle anymore.
  • PalmPilot Professional - my first PDA, used it for 2-3 years
  • Palm Vx - my second PDA, used it for a year
  • Sony Clie PEG-S300 - my third PDA, used it less than a year (see a pattern...?)
  • Sony Clie PEG-N710C - my fourth PDA, umm, yeah, way less than a year...
  • Sony Clie PEG-NR70V - non-wireless PDAs are unfortunately dead now, P900 does it all
  • Motorola Flare GSM mobile phone - my first mobile phone, the first and only Motorola phone I've even remotely liked (but then again, I didn't exactly have any experiences to compare to...)
  • Nokia 3110 and 3210 GSM mobile phones - my second/third mobile phones
  • Motorola Accompli-008 - my fourth mobile phone, used it for a month (what a piece of crap)
  • a Technics stereo set (RDS radio + CD player + cassette player + amplifier) - being replaced by the home theater, see below

By the way, in case you're interested, I could sell you the Palms and the earlier Sony Clies, the Motorola Accompli and the Technics stereo set. I also have a largish number of Playstation games, which I might sell due to lack of use. Hey, I might even consider selling some of the "current gadgets" as well, e.g. the Lego RIS. If you're interested in buying some of that stuff, let me know... Whoahey, this might be the start of "eCommerce" on my site... "Miksi.net, the Premiere Online Shop for Second-hand Gadgets"! I can see riches and fortune coming my way already... :)
